Light/Matter

Poetry and Photography for HOlding Both

Light/Matter, a poetry and photography book developed over the past eight years. The project is a single, unified work in which text and image operate in counterbalance, creating an experiential, nonlinear reading environment.

Light/Matter is organized as a field of pressure, suspension, and release rather than a linear narrative. The photographs function as pauses and thresholds, sites where language recedes and something else is felt in the silence. While the poems register what remains held in the body: memory, consequence, endurance, and refusal. Neither medium illustrates the other; instead, one holds what the other cannot.

Alaska

A New play

The mother of an estranged family invites her adult children, none of which have spoken to the other in 12 years, to house sit while she is away in Alaska. However, she doesn’t tell each of the children she invited the others. When a blizzard snows them all in together, they must face each other, the past, and the piece together what really happened all those years ago when their family fell apart.

Last Milkshake

A One Act Play

On Halloween night, just as a small New York City diner is closing, a tired traveler orders one last milkshake. Moments later, a masked robber storms in, turning an ordinary night into a hostage situation fueled by nervous chatter, dark humor, and unexpected intimacy. As tensions rise and survival feels uncertain, Last Milkshake explores how trivial details, casual kindness, and human absurdity collide, ending in a chilling twist that proves even the smallest choices can be fatal.
